Anime Shop Simulator What to stock and who to serve

Demo-based S-F ranks for merch lines and customer archetypes — not a locked meta.

Tier List Hub

This Tier List Hub ranks two things that actually move an Anime Shop Simulator store: what you put on the shelf and who walks through the door. The full game is still upcoming on 11 September 2026. Until then these lists are provisional, built from the Steam demo (live since 19 February 2026), store-page feature lists, and studio notes about signings, TCG tournaments, and special clients. They are not a final launch meta.

Split the work across two child pages. Use product rankings when you are staring at an order screen and need to know whether manga, figures, booster packs, apparel, dakimakura, pins, or keychains should eat the next crate. Use customer rankings when the floor is busy and you need to know which visitors convert, which ones need ID checks, and which ones only matter on event days.

How these ranks are scored

Every row on the child lists is scored on four axes, not on “cool factor.”

  • Early profit: Does the SKU turn cash in the first hour without a fat license?
  • Collection value: Does keeping a copy (especially TCG singles) beat selling it today?
  • Space and handling: Does it need a pedestal, a pillow rack, or a register bowl?
  • Service load: Does the customer type demand ID checks, event tables, or a dedicated cashier?

S-tier means “stock or staff this first unless your shop is already drowning in it.” F-tier means “this pattern loses money or time in the demo slice.” Mid tiers are situational: event days, co-op PvP tables, or a collector who will empty a figure case.

The demo does not expose every merch line at full depth. Steam copy already names manga, figures, collectible cards, shop wallpaper, a custom shop name, autograph signings, and trading-card tournaments. Apparel, dakimakura, pins, and keychains sit in the broader merchandise promise for the complete shop. When a line is thin in the demo, the product page labels it as a launch projection, not a measured sell-through rate.

Read products and customers together

A rank is useless if you treat merch and people as separate games. Manga is S-tier for cash because browsers and students will grab a volume without a speech. Dakimakura can sit lower for a new shop because age-restricted buyers need an ID check and a discreet display. Booster packs climb when co-op PvP friends want a table, and they fall when you crack every box for your binder and forget the register.

If you only open one child page, open products on day one and customers before you host a signing. Pair both with shop layout so the physical path matches the rank: cheap impulse by the till, figures in sightlines, mature pillows out of the kid lane, TCG near a play surface.

What this hub will not do

This is not a character roster and not a PvP card-power list. Individual TCG cards belong on TCG cards. Special-client behavior belongs on special clients. Co-op job splits belong on co-op roles. Pricing numbers belong on the pricing playbook — start near defaults, then nudge. If you came here from a “best units” search, you are in a shop sim: the “units” are SKUs and customer types.

We also will not freeze these letters after a single demo weekend. Demo reviews sit around Mostly Positive (about 79% of roughly 213 demo reviews). Players already argued about checkout feel, feature subset, and server creation. Those complaints change how fast you can test a rank, not the rank math itself. After 11 September 2026, expect this hub to add a dated “launch week” note rather than pretend February 2026 was the final economy.

Suggested first-hour path

  1. Stock a readable manga wall and a small figure cluster, as the product list argues.
  2. Price near the default tags using the pricing method.
  3. Watch who actually pays: browsers versus collectors, as broken down under customer types.
  4. Keep a cash buffer so a dead booster box does not close the shop.
  5. Only then spend money on event furniture or mature displays.

That path matches the getting started guide and the demo walkthrough. If you skip to dakimakura and tournament tables on minute ten, you are playing the trailer, not the register.

Revisit these ranks after you host a signing or tournament; event days shuffle the board more than any pre-launch spreadsheet.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for demo players and launch-day shopkeepers.

Is this a final launch-day meta?

No. It is a provisional demo-and-store-page ranking. The full game is still upcoming on 11 September 2026. Letters will move.

Where do I find the actual S-F tables?

Open product rankings for merch lines and customer rankings for visitor types.

Do you rank individual TCG cards here?

No. Card-by-card notes live on TCG cards. This hub ranks packs versus other product lines, not every holographic.

Should I copy these ranks in four-player co-op?

Yes for stocking priority, then assign people with co-op roles. A second player does not make a dead SKU sell.

How often will this hub change?

After major demo patches and again after launch week. Check the updates hub for the date we last rebuilt a list.
