Anime Shop Simulator updates
Announcement, demo, wishlist milestones, co-op fixes, and the dated path to 11 September 2026.
This hub is the dated spine of the wiki. Anime Shop Simulator is still upcoming: One More Time scheduled the full Steam Windows build for 11 September 2026, announced in early August 2026. A free demo has been live since 19 February 2026. Nothing on this page should be read as if the full Windows build is already for sale. When a Steam news post, Discord note, or @OMTStudios thread changes a date, this hub and the child pages should move with it.
Jump points: release date for the calendar, shop in danger for the 14 August 2026 litter/theft/vandal preview, patch history for demo 1.4.2–1.5.0, and demo notes for what the slice contains. For how to spend a session, leave this hub and open getting started.
Timeline (public, condensed)
Late 2025 — reveal. One More Time, coming off Tavern Manager Simulator, announced a first-person anime shop with 4-player online co-op. Press coverage (Games Press, IGN trailer roundups, Automaton, 4Gamers) repeated the same feature list: manga, figures, collectible cards, customization, signings, TCG tournaments, special clients, ID checks. An announcement trailer circulated widely; IGN’s upload is the one embedded on our homepage.
23 November 2025 — OTK Fest trailer. Studio news said they showed a new trailer at OTK Fest and teased a series of open playtests.
11 December 2025 — 50k wishlists. Steam news thanked players for 50,000 wishlists and pointed people at playtest signup plus Discord. That number is a snapshot, not a live counter.
19 February 2026 — demo. The demo (Steam app 3444070) went public. Later recaps put demo reviews around Mostly Positive, ~79% of ~213. Steam Next Fest in February 2026 put the demo in front of more browsers.
2026 playtests and patches. Studio notes mentioned a server-creation rework so hosts could create or join more reliably. That is the most important co-op patch to remember; details sit on demo notes and co-op.
6 August 2026 — launch date locked. Steam news celebrated that Anime Shop Simulator would release on September 11. This wiki treats that as the current full-game date unless Steam changes the store label.
14 August 2026 — Your Shop is in Danger. Official news previewed launch-facing threats: customers who litter, thieves who snatch displays (the studio mentioned a bat if you catch them), and evening vandals who graffiti the walls. Co-op can split defense. Details: shop in danger and special clients.
11 September 2026 — full launch (scheduled). Windows via Steam. Price not publicly locked in the materials we used. Steam Deck compatibility still unknown on the store listing — see system requirements.
How to read studio posts without getting burned
Trailers sell the dream shop: packed aisles, signings, holographic cards. Demos ship a subset. If a feature appears in a trailer and not in your build, check demo notes before filing a bug. If a co-op lobby fails, check whether you are on the post-rework build. If a YouTuber says “it’s out,” they probably mean the demo.
Official channels, in order of trust:
- Steam store for app 3393280 and demo 3444070
- Steam news hub for the app
- @OMTStudios
- Discord invite used in demo posts: discord.gg/WruazT3pv4
Random “codes” blogs are not a channel. We keep an honest empty codes page for that search.
What each update type means for play
- Content unlocks (new licenses, furniture, events) change tier lists and events.
- Co-op/netcode changes co-op first, then roles.
- Economy/pricing changes pricing and products.
- Date/platform changes release date only — do not rewrite every guide’s first paragraph unless the launch actually moved.
When the full game ships, this hub should grow a patch table (date, build, three-line summary) instead of a marketing timeline. Until then, the useful “patch” is the demo plus the server-create fix.
